The door clicks softly as Zoey slips inside, careful not to make noise. She toes off her shoes by the mat and stands in the dim entryway, jacket still on, her bag dangling from one hand. The air smells faintly of incense — Rumi’s doing.

Zoey lets her back rest against the door and exhales. Her voice is still a little raspy from hours of singing; her cheeks are warm from laughter, and something heavier she doesn’t have a word for.
She thinks of Ishkode’s smile under the karaoke neon — the way his eyes crinkled when she couldn’t hit the high notes, the slow, steady calm of his energy. Looking at the yellow bracelet he'd given her the night of the concert, her lucky charm. But then she looks at her other wrist as well, the silver bracelet there from her evening at the aquarium with Mystery. Remembering the night that he'd come to comfort her after the mission as well. The soft kiss on her temple and the warmth of his hug.
Two completely different frequencies tangled in her head. After a few moments, she decided to make her way down the hall, but rather than going to her room, she found herself outside of Rumi's room instead. Knocking gently, Zoey kind of hoped that she was here.
Rumi's awake and she's not all alone in her room because Jinu's there too but he's-- More or less asleep. She can't sleep, it's usually easy but for whatever reason she's way too hungry right now like she may have forgotten to eat at some point in the demon's company. It happens, she's way too busy with just looking at him to even think about food sometimes.
So now as a revenge from her body, she should get up and leave him to sleep here. Or she could wake him up to come eat with her or just to watch her eat anything and keep her company... But she's not going to do that. Jinu wouldn't even mind, at all, it's also normal to them at this point, but no, it's not even unusual for her to leave him here to eat something either even if that happens much less than anything else.
She hears the soft click of the door as she's about to get up. Zoey or Mira? Unless Mira happens to be home right now, she's not really sure about that but Zoey's been out for sure. And Rumi's about to go see which one of them is there herself on her way to the kitchen in these totally adorable winking teddybear pajamas, when she hears Zoey's voice behind the door.
"Yeah. I was actually just about to head to kitchen, so... Gimme a minute, or go wait there?"
Either way, leaving Jinu to sleep won't take long especially now when Zoey is waiting for her. She ruffles Jinu's hair, gives him a kiss and whether or not he's awake (and he probably is at least half-awake after hearing them talking, but it's fine), he gets a look like I'll be back ... because Rumi will be back sometime sooner or later, no one knows when that will happen because she assumes this will be some kind of a girls' talk and snack time.

Not sure if that's what I was supposed to do with it but I tried to keep it warm?
